After bumpin my album this past Tuesday, The Hip Hop Shop called me back for an actual intervew for this coming Tuesday! They sure they wanna talk to me? Haha. So in the hustle of things lately, I tend to just be in the zone of working and get surprised here and there. This was by far the dopest surprise yet. So I come home and give my mom some flowers for her bday & get an email from Miss Love Ra saying my title track off my new album is on their site….it suddenly became MY birthday haha. The article features insight from Love & a few things she quoted me on haha. I don’t know about you, but this made my day. Winning the little wars means the bigger one not being much of a threat. Uh oh…they went and did it…they done asked me to host an event. Haha. So Redefinition (A badass Chicago dance group) asked me to host their annual event and of COURSE I said yes. So now I gotta come up with an ill-ass intro, routine and maybe a costume. Cmon now….I can’t JUST go out there and be like, “Hi, I’m hosting…*crickets*”…or can I? Haha. No Sleep For The Righteous1

When it comes to the grind, its been said there’s no sleep for the wicked…I guess that means even less sleep for the righteous. The concept of working hard is now burdened with the idea that an artists should do everything themselves. And you know what? That’s exactly the way it is. Running on Faith, and Hopes, and dreams is sometimes all you’ve got. People are gonna shit on you, doubt you, and be more work to keep away from you than keep around.
If your body says stay awake, then stay alive, if you’re sleepless, don’t be hopeless and if you’re gonna stay up, then stay up faith-wise too. If you’re like me, you know the life you signed up for. Don’t punk out, go all out. You might look and feel like shit now…but you’ll never be more respected & glow brighter than ever before. Don’t stay up cause you’re afraid or alone, stay up cause you’re determined and fearless. Make the open eyes count. Peace.
